Too bad not everything works out, (would love to learn the secret to garlic, which I've only tried once, but plan to try again) but hey, we are happy with what we manage to get. Thanks for your comment!Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08264276199843769399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1859227664304693752.post-56182503946369229992009-10-02T13:05:13.496-06:002009-10-02T13:05:13.496-06:00My mouth starts watering at the mention of garden ...My mouth starts watering at the mention of garden fresh potatoes...I love 'em! I know that there are instructions with the cast iron pan I have--think that it makes me a little nervous that as I recall, you don't need soap to clean it,(although that would be extremely helpful in an emergency situation) and I've never seasoned one before. Should just do it, though...
Those cords are going fast--hope people in Wisconsin are paying attention... :) Thanks again for the info.Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08264276199843769399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1859227664304693752.post-76730604859897697922009-10-01T07:05:23.940-06:002009-10-01T07:05:23.940-06:00Marie, Relative to my water and Cast Iron comment....Marie, Relative to my water and Cast Iron comment. A Cast Iron wood burner gets pretty hot, and water hitting it becomes explosive steam immediately if not sooner. It is a good way to get scalded. If you do get an accidental fire outside the unit use baking soda or a ABC fire extinguisher to put it out, not water. So keep baking soda in the big box somewhere close to unit.

Your cast iron pan is one of the best investments you can make. Get it seasoned and go to it......

38 Cords left..LOL

CarlAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
