Our wood stove was installed today (well, Thursday). Couldn't wait to post a picture--more details to come.

while the weather is still decent and you can have yor windows open I would suggest building a HOT fire in it to burn off ant paint resedue that might remain from the Factory.

Can't wait for details. And not to sound crass, but price would be nice. We are starting to think this way... although the "heatolator" works well, this would be so much better.

Congratulations! It's a great feeling to know that you have a reliable source of heat in winter.

Enjoy!

Kathie--Thanks--we're very excited about it sitting there and the fire is fun to look at!

Carl--What you said is about exactly the same thing that the wood stove guy said when my husband asked about running it at first. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

Meadowlark--We went with this oven because it ran about $1800, a lot less than the stove with the bigger lip. I'll explain a little about how we got a break on a part of it in my post... :)

Chris--Yes, we are very, very excited to finally have one of these in the house--we've been wanting one since we moved in about 4 years ago, so it's been a long time coming--but worth the wait!

Ron--I couldn't agree more that it's a good feeling to have another way to get warm without piling on blankets/clothes if the power goes out--or if the utility bill goes up too high. Now to feed the thing... :)

Thanks to everyone for sharing our excitement, and for commenting--it's much appreciated!
