BY #21: Well, you probably could have guessed this one

My BY for the day: Can of corn

If I were adding anything to go along with this, it would be: You could actually add this to many different types of soup to make for a more filling meal, I'm guessing...

Oh, and the reason for the title is because I got a few cans of this on my best deal last week at $.44/can. At least one can is going into the BY storage...

Yeah, it wouldn't be all that exciting by itself, but it would be something that's ready to eat...

Ejemory--Thanks so much for the list--I'm planning on putting it with my post today. The prices look comparable to those we have in Idaho right now, except last time I checked the Nalley's chili here it was $.86 or $.87. I'm really hoping it hasn't gone up--it's our favorite brand for canned chili.
Also, the deal I got on the canned vegetables was actually down in Utah at Macey's--we don't have those up here, but I understand that they will occasionally have great case lot sales. Thanks again for your comment!

I love Nalley's chili.. BUT I love it more with CHEESE!!! Yes you can get canned cheese, Kraft makes it, but not in USA. You have to get it from Australia. There are a few online places for preparedness that stock it now. Just have to find it....
We can't do corn do to allergy, so we did canned olives and tomatoes. This is a great source of oils and sodium. Which in an emergency situation, is a good thing.

TM Frugal Gourmet--I have had "sticker shock" when it comes to cheese for the past few years, and the prices keep going higher. I'll have to check what is available in terms of canned cheese, because that is something I would really miss in a longer-term emergency situation. Olives and canned tomatoes are a great idea--thanks so much for your comment!
